The Journey of a KIND Piece: From Inspiration to Creation

At KIND Collection, every piece of jewellery tells a story, a narrative of personal journey, craftsmanship, and ethical values. Our bespoke service is designed to bring your unique visions to life, transforming inspiration into a wearable piece of art that resonates with your personal style and ethos. The journey from the initial idea to the final creation is a collaborative, intimate process. Today we have outlined the process to illustrate how we craft a bespoke KIND piece, from start to finish.

1. Booking an Appointment with Tansy

The first step on the journey of creating your KIND piece begins with booking an appointment to meet with Tansy Haak, our founder and creative force. Whether you're able to visit us in London or prefer an online meeting, we ensure your consultation is comprehensive and tailored to your convenience. During this initial appointment, we'll delve into your vision, discussing your style preferences, budget, and any specific inspirations you might have. Don't worry if you're not sure about the style yet; our goal is to guide you through the design process, helping you discover a piece that you'll truly adore.

2. Design Development

Following your consultation, Tansy will translate your ideas into a series of designs, giving life to your vision on paper. These initial sketches are then shared with you, inviting your feedback. This stage can go back-and-forth as many times as needed until the designs are refined and align perfectly with your expectations. Once you're completely satisfied with the design, Tansy will provide two quotations for your chosen piece, one for Fairmined metals and another for recycled metals.

3. Wax Mould Creation

After the design and quote receive your approval, Tansy crafts a wax mould of your design. This step allows you to see and feel the design in a three-dimensional form. You have the option to receive the wax mould by post, offering you a tangible sense of the piece's scale and detail. Alternatively, Tansy can share photos and videos of the mould, providing a clear visual of your design as it begins to take shape.

4. Casting and Gem Setting

Upon your approval of the wax mould, the piece is ready to be cast in your chosen precious metal. This stage is where the magic happens, as the wax model is transformed into gold, silver, or platinum. Simultaneously, any chosen ethically sourced precious gemstones are meticulously set, giving your jewellery an extra element of eye-catching sparkle.

5. Personalised Engraving

To add an even more personal touch, we offer the option of custom laser engravings. Whether it's a name, a special date, a meaningful phrase, or even a unique drawing, this final touch ensures your KIND piece tells your personal story. Our precise laser engraving allows for a variety of fonts, including the option to use your own handwriting, further adding an intimate element to your bespoke design.

6. Delivery of Your KIND Piece

Once every stage of the creation process is complete, your bespoke jewellery is ready to find its way to you. We use registered and insured post to ensure your piece arrives safely, ready to be worn and cherished. This final step marks the end of the creation journey but the beginning of your jewellery’s story as it becomes a part of your everyday life.

Start Your Bespoke Journey

Creating a piece of jewellery with KIND Collection is not just about acquiring a new accessory; it's an immersive experience that allows you to embed your personal narrative into a piece that's crafted with integrity and care. We invite you to book an appointment with Tansy to begin your bespoke journey that celebrates your individuality, your stories, and your values. Whether you're marking a milestone moment, redesigning an heirloom piece, or simply expressing your personality, your journey with KIND Collection is a step towards wearing a piece that truly means something to you.
