MISSION & Impact STATEMENT

KIND Collection

Who We Are

At KIND, we create jewellery that celebrates both people and the planet. Each piece is handcrafted with intention, care, and responsibility, telling a story of connection and purpose. In our energy-efficient studio, we craft with recycled metals, Fairmined gold, and responsibly sourced gemstones, paired with thoughtfully chosen biodegradable packaging. Every material is chosen for quality, ethics, and fair-trade principles, ensuring that each creation is transparent, circular, and human centred — leaving a lasting, meaningful impact.

Our Values & Beliefs

Kindness, integrity, and sustainability guide every decision. We are committed to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI), prioritising human rights across our supply chain and supporting strong women-led initiatives as well as suppliers from racial or ethnic minority backgrounds. We prioritise slow fashion over fast trends, transparency over excess, and people over profit. Environmental stewardship and circularity are central to everything we do — from designing pieces to last, to reworking, repairing, and recycling materials.

  • We chose recycled silver, gold & platinum despite higher costs, reducing demand for newly mined metals and environmental harm.

  • We rejected fast-scaling growth models to protect our handmade, traceable, and ethically sourced process, even though it limited short-term profit potential.

Our Pillars of Impact

  • Conscious Craft
We minimise environmental harm and maximise traceability by using recycled metals, Fairmined silver & gold, and responsibly sourced gemstones. Each piece is made-to-order, timeless, and meaningful. Our circular approach includes bespoke redesigns, reworking customer’s own materials, and repair services, extending the life of jewellery and reducing waste.

  • Ethical & Human-Centred Production
We support skilled makers and fair working practices, respecting human rights and dignity at every step. We prioritise strong connections with women-led suppliers and businesses from racial or ethnic minority backgrounds, and care for our customers through services like free resizing, bespoke consultation, and meaningful client engagement.

  • Transparency
We share our practices openly, from stone origins to studio processes, so our customers can make informed, conscious choices.

  • Regenerative
Beyond reducing harm, we actively give back. We plant a tree for every order through One Tree Planted and donate monthly to the Woodland Trust, supporting ecosystems.

Our Commitments

  • Environmental Stewardship & Circularity: To reduce waste, minimise environmental impact, and champion circularity by using recycled metals and gemstones, low-impact studio practices, and sustainable packaging. To restore and protect ecosystems through tree planting and conservation support.

  • JEDI and Human Rights: To promote equity and human rights in the supply chain, prioritising women-led suppliers, racial and ethnic minority businesses, Fairmined metals, and responsibly sourced gemstones. To contribute to a slower, inclusive, and conscious jewellery economy that values people over profit.

Accountability

My intention is to prioritise positive social and environmental impact above all else. My commitments are visible publicly on my website, packaging, and communications so I can be held accountable by my community.

Kind, by Nature

Kind is more than a name — it’s a commitment to conscious design, lasting quality, and a kinder way to do business, rooted in justice, equity, and environmental stewardship.

Your Opinion Matters

We believe in change, and that although no-one is perfect we can all be responsible for making KIND business decisions.

Rather than standing still we believe this requires an ability to keep learning, exploring and adapting. This means our material sources and practices are constantly evolving.

At KIND a really important element of change is the ability to listen. If you would like to discuss our mission statement, materials or practices at any point, then we are always open to hearing new ideas and making new connections.

KIND WORDS

‘I designed my wedding ring as a bespoke piece with Tansy and it was such a special experience from start to finish. She understood exactly how I wanted to incorporate symbolism and meaning into the piece, and made it to perfectly complement my engagement ring. I couldn't be happier with it. She even resized my grandmother's ring that I originally thought about remaking into the wedding ring free of charge! Thank you Tansy - I highly recommend Kind Jewellery for their conscious and beautiful work.’

‘Such amazing service from Tansy. She used diamonds from my grandmother’s ring and turned them into something beautiful and modern. I absolutely love it and it’s so special to have something to always remind me of my gran. Thanks Tansy!’

- B.L

‘Tansy was wonderful from start to finish. She helped us navigate deciding on designs which were very unique and personalised to us. What is more, I felt really supported through all my questions and indecision to land on a design which I love. Thank you very much!’

- E.B

‘Tansy and her jewellery have become an important part of all our family‘s milestones.
From designing my engagement ring, our wedding bands, our 10 years anniversary ring to a special charm to announce the arrival of our baby, Tansy has listened to our ideas and put them into reality wonderfully’.
